3. ) That Jesus paid the penalty for your sin on the cross.

Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

4. ) That if you will repent of your sins, believe and receive Christ, you will be saved.

Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

You can pray the following prayer:

- Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I deserve condemnation. But I believe that You died for me and that You rose again. I repent of my sins and I receive You in my heart as my Saviour and Lord. I accept your gift of eternal life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

And if you did pray this prayer, the Bible says,

5. ) You are now saved.

6. ) You are now forgiven of your sins.

I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

7. ) You now have no condemnation.

Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

8. ) You are now a child of God.

John 1:12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO, NOW THAT YOU ARE SAVED

1. ) Be baptized because:

- All those who received Him were baptized.

Acts 2:41, "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three Thousand souls."

- Christ had commanded that we be baptized (Matthew. 28:19-20)

- It is publicly identifying himself to have been a Christian (Romans 6:3-5)

- It is needed to enter church membership (Acts 2:41)

2. ) Be active in prayer and Bible reading (Col. 3:16; 1 Thes. 5:17)

3. ) Be faithful in church attendance (Heb. 10:25)
